I was born and raised in Hong Kong, but the travel bug has taken me to California, England and Vancouver, BC, before I settled in the Seattle area in 2003. I graduated from University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1994, and received me degree in veterinary medicine from Royal Veterinary College, University of London, UK, in 1999. I spent the next 15 years working as a small-animal veterinarian, the last 10 of which were spent at a private practice in Bellevue, WA.
In 2015, I decided to pursue a new career in environmental conservation with special interest in habitat conservation and restoration - I started off as an Environmental Studies major at UCSC, so this is really coming full circle. Reluctant to let go of my veterinary medicine career altogether, I decided to become a part-time relief veterinarian while pursuing further education in the environmental science field.

In my spare time, I enjoy cycling, reading, chilling out with my husband, Dan, and our two Labrador Retrievers, Gander and Gimli, and spending time in the great outdoors
